Oh That's Sad

thirty men in a helicopter
flying low over the broken towns
one thinks of his brothers
at home still young and daring.
the searching eyes of a certain woman
fall into his heart at that moment.
he feels again her pulse beneath his hand.
another man looks at the barren fields below,
and longs for the son he has never met.
a flash a blow a resounding cry
and pain.
thirty men...and a helicopter
carry me home
home to my father
let me fly away
higher than a stealth bomber
remember me
when your kingdom comes
by the hands of withering chaff
chattering guns and roaring grenades
collapsing souls and murdering families
one death among millions
thirty men and thirty families
saving the world.
